Dubai Properties developer constantly cares about the environment, making every effort to reduce the emission of harmful substances during construction or in related production. Since shops and supermarkets are part of the infrastructure of residential complexes being built by Dubai Properties, they are also constantly working to make their functioning more environmentally friendly.
Since November 2022, reusable bags used by supermarket employees on the territory of the residential complex from Dubai Properties have been created using a new technology. They are made from recycled raw materials obtained from old advertising posters of the company itself. Thus, the damage from discarded plastic, which advertising posters and banners consist of, is drastically reduced. The Banner to Bag initiative will be applied in all new buildings of Dubai Properties.
This change in the company's processes was announced in July, to the announced worldwide initiative #PlasticFreeJuly, which was designed to reduce the amount of plastic thrown into nature. And by November, a full cycle of recycling of old advertising banners was launched, which will become a permanent process in the company.
